Heeeeeere’s lunch! Actually dinner. I had some buns leftover from my last Hot Dog for ME post so I used them to make these for my girls who just LOVE LOVE LOVE subs. They’re mini subs or Hot Dog Bun Subs! They’re the perfect size for smaller appetites but just as tasty with less waste.

Hot Dog Bun Subs

In this Hot Dog Bun Subs dinner:

  1. Hot dog bun with Applegate Ham and American Cheese with red leaf lettuce and mayo on Big Sis’
  2. Delmonte Canned Carrots
  3. Organic broccoli florets
  4. Smartfood Selects’ All Natural Sour Cream Onion Puffed Corn
  5. Watermelon cubes for Big Sis and Cantaloupe for Little Sis

For lots of fun bento accessories, visit @ BentoUSA.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Feel free to make my day by leaving me a comment, following my blog via email, Facebook or Instagram. The more the merrier, of course!

Do they eat them cold? I’m confused how to pack burgers and veg hot dogs for my kid. I tried putting it in a thermos but it got soggy. Perhaps cold burger which sits on an ice pack?

Hi Kaha! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. And let me start by apologizing how long it’s taken for me to see your comment. I don’t log in very often and apparently, I don’t get notifications when new comments need to be moderated! Anyway, when I packed my girls hot dogs, yes, they pretty much ate them cold. But depending on whether or your kid will eat them cold, soggy or not at all, you can also pack just the hot dog/hamburger patty in a thermos to keep it warm(ish) and pack the bun separately so it doesn’t get soggy. Makes for more dishes to wash but at least they’ll get a not soggy meal! 😉
