My Samosa and Salad Lunch

Grrrrrrrrowl. Yes, that's the sound of my stomach growling since it's 1:14 pm and I'm just now sitting down to breakfast/lunch after a morning filled with appointments, volunteering at school and joining the girls for lunch. Now it's time for ME to eat! I grabbed a Samosa (Cooking With Friends #1: Indian Samosas) from the freezer, warmed it up while I prepped this quick salad and I'm ready to eat. :)

In this lunch:
  1. Samosa with a side of Major Grey's Mango Chutney
  2. Spinach salad with Baby Bella mushrooms, grape tomatoes, shredded carrots and sliced green peppers 
Oh, and I just can't help but finish off the meal with this leftover cake from celebrating my parents birthdays this weekend. After a crazy morning of running around, I just NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED it. :)


This delicious, gorgeous thing is from Once in a Blue Moon Bakery & Cafe. This is pretty much the only place we get cakes for our family celebrations anymore with the girls' nut allergies. Though they do sell items containing nuts, they have cakes that are safely nut-free and I'm good w/ that because the owner has nut allergies too! But i still ask every time. :)
