Place in a baking dish/broiling pan and season with salt, pepper garlic powder and onion powder, if using..
Remove ribs from oven, add some water to the pan (about 1/2 an inch high) and cover.
Set oven to 300 degrees F, return covered ribs to oven and cook for 3-5 hours. Check occasionally to make sure there's still water in the pan. If it's starting to get low, add some more.
Turn the oven back up to 425, brush with your favorite BBQ sauce and bake for another 20-30 minutes, uncovered. Be sure to leave the water in the pan, otherwise, it'll start to burn. I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce for the first time and it was yummy!
