Frankie the Koala Lunch

It’s World Animal Day! What better way to celebrate than with a bento blog hop and a Frankie the Koala lunch? So here they are, the dynamic cute duo!

Frankie the Koala lunch

When I was a little girl, my all-time favorite stuffed animal was my little Koala bear named Frankie. I can’t remember when I got him or who gave him to me, but I do remember that I loved him so. Frankie and I were inseparable and I loved everything about him. I loved combing his cute tufts of ear fur because it was the only combable thing on him! I loved his stubby little arms that stuck out just enough to twirl him around by. His cute little (big) nose got lots of kisses. He was the perfect size to cuddle with.

Unlike kids today with their Build-a-Bears and their fifty zillion outfits, I had one change of clothes for Frankie: a yellow nightgown and matching nightcap that my dear grandma made for him. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world that my koala bear Frankie had PJs that he could change into as I changed into mine at night.

You can imagine my delight when I ran across this book not long after Big Sis was born: “Daddy Cuddles” by Anne Gutman and Georg Hallensleben. What a precious combo Daddy-Baby make but then you throw koalas in the mix and I’m just like awwwwwww!

In this Frankie the Koala Lunch:
  1. Frankie & Joey sandwiches: Ham and muenster cheese sandwich w/ ‘tufts’ of shredded mozzarella cheese cut using my CuteZCute cutter and a mini bear cutter from BentoUSA.
  2. Rolds Golds pretzel sticks (nut-free!) tree w/ carrot chips and baby spinach leaves.
  3. MOMables Homemade Oreo Cookie w/ a marshmallow on top.
  4. Raspberries and blueberries w/ a cute little koala pick from BentoUSA.
  5. All packed in my handy dandy EasyLunchBox – Just love it!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Feel free to make my day by leaving me a comment, following my blog via email, on Facebook or on Instagram – the more the merrier!

Such a cute lunch! Lovely post too, I had a my own version of 'Frankie'; a cuddly cat called 'Miouw', complete with a little dress knitted by my Grandma (she didn't realise he was a boy). Still have him! Love seeing another animal made using the cuteZcute cutter too, so imaginative!
