The Busy Life and A Sandwich with Animal Crackers and Chocolate Chips

Busy is a relative term and I know there are so many of you out there with far busier lives than mine, but life in the Taylor household has been non-stop on-the-go over the past couple months. It's been a good busy, mostly, so I really can't complain, but busy nonetheless. I haven't been posting much and even missed my 2nd blogiversary on September 6. I did nothing, nada, zilch to celebrate. Didn't even realize it until last week! lol!

Between Big Sis' 4 soccer practices, Little Sis' 3, piano lessons for both during the school week, soccer games on Saturdays and Sundays, some far, some near, and volleyball and tennis fun of my own as well as visits from friends and family and fun travels to beaches, amusement parks, family and friends and other stuff I can't remember, I often don't know if I'm coming or going or what month it even is, haha, which is why Big Sis was the only one out of 40+ kids to show up at soccer practice in her orange practice T instead of her white one at the beginning of this one. Whoopsie ! Why even change shirt colors monthly, I ask!?!

I feel like my lunches have been reflecting life. Not much time for variety and just thrown together... like today's lunch. Another sandwich. Luckily, it's what Little Sis requested today and was super easy to throw together. At least the treat is a new one for the girls! But with a couple of picks and silicone cups, it actually doesn't look half bad, and was made in about 7 mins flat!

Laura of MOMables makes it easy to plan things out ahead of time, so stay tuned for some more interesting lunches next week (hopefully)!! :)

Berry Kale Smoothie

OK, I don't know how I did it, but this one was ridiculously yummy. AND it's not an uninviting dark green, it's puce! hahaha. So much better, right?

Here's how I made it:

Berry Kale Smoothie
by happyvballgirl @ My Epicurean Adventures

1 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
8 baby carrots
2 generous handfuls of chopped kale
1 cup cottage cheese (or greek yogurt)
about 1-2 cups of coconut water, or how ever much you need to get the consistency you like

Blend and drink! mmmmmmmmm!!

Makes about 32 oz.
